Peanut Butter Blossoms - 12 Days of Cookies
Welcome to 12 days of cookies! Every day from now until Christmas I’ll be sharing a Christmas cookie recipe. I’ll do my best to share all my cookie baking tips and tricks so you can make the perfect holiday cookies. Today’s recipe is a classic- peanut butter blossoms. This recipe has been in my family for years. I had to ask my mom to text me a picture of this recipe so you know it’s going to be good. Alright, let’s get to it!
ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar (plus more for rolling)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup peanut butter (preferably JIF)
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 1/2 cup AP flour
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
I package of Hershey’s Kisses
instructions
Cream together the butter, sugar, and peanut butter in a stand mixer.
Add the milk, vanilla, and eggs to the sugar mixture.
In a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Add the flour mixture to the sugar and egg mixture.
Chill your dough for 1 hour or up to 3 days. Roll dough into quarter-sized balls. Roll your dough balls in a bowl of granulated sugar and then place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350F for 10-12 minutes.
Right when the cookies come out of the oven press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center. Then remove them from the cookie sheet and let cool. Removing the cookies from the cookie sheet ASAP helps to prevent overcooked bottoms!
